Mars Wrigley Canada has announced a voluntary withdrawal of specific types of gum SKITTLES Gummies, STARBURST Gummies and LIFE SAVERS Gummies, after customers announced that they found very thin metal threads embedded in the candy or loosened in the bag.
The company says there are no reported illnesses or injuries related to the downloaded products.
The download covers STARBURST Gummies Original, STARBURST Gummies Sours, STARBURST Gummies Sour Berries, LIFE SAVERS Gummies Sours, SKITTLES Gummies Original and SKITTLES Gummies Wild Berries.
The products were sold in various sizes ranging from 57g to 280g and were distributed in Canada, the United States and Mexico.
Customers who believe they have purchased a downloaded product are told to discard it.
Mars Wrigley Canada says it will work with retailers to remove withdrawn products from store shelves.
