It is assumed that the gas will increase by thirteen cents

A consumer group predicts a significant increase in gas prices this weekend. Dan McTeague, president of Canadians for Affordable Energy, told gaswizard.ca that almost every city in their Canadian study shows that gas is rising by about ten cents on the subway.

Changes in most provinces are likely to occur on Monday, but Newfoundland and Labrador have regulations, so the price must be determined by the Utilities Council. It is unclear whether prices will rise when PUB allows them to do so.

If the board applies the same criteria as McTeague, we will pay record high prices – about $ 2.24 per liter. This is almost at the top of the country, but Vancouver and Victoria face an even bigger pinch of the pumps with the highest tax.

Meanwhile, diesel is expected to fall to $ 2.65 per liter.
