Waterloo Regional Police are looking for a man in the Cambridge district who may be armed and dangerous.
Authorities tweeted shortly after noon on Saturday that they were conducting a search of the Townline and River Roads area.
Police are looking for a man in the area of Townline Road and River Road in Cambridge.
The man can be armed and dangerous. Residents in the area have been asked to stay inside.
Expect closed roads and please avoid the area.

Police also warned drivers to expect road closures and asked them to avoid the area.
At around 3 pm, the police released a description of who they were looking for.
He is described as white, 5’11 with blue eyes, thin build, short blond hair and face, wearing brown pants and probably a dark hat.
Police say there are concerns about his safety.
Regional police are also using a drone in the Townline area to help with the search.
