Poll: What was your favorite message about Pixel on Google I / O 2022?

Google I / O 2022 came and went, and there were many announcements at the two-day developer conference. However, Pixel was the star of the show, as Google gave us a bunch of messages about Pixel to spend us in the summer, fall and even 2023.

Did you watch the main note of Google I / O? If so, which Pixel device are you most excited about?

Some of the Pixel devices were almost expected at the event. The Pixel 6a arrives soon, with the same design as its flagship counterparts. It will also be powered by the same flagship Tensor chipset, which is impressive for a phone starting at $ 449, which puts it in the territory of the iPhone SE (2022). Sure, there are some trade-offs, such as lower camera specs and a 60Hz display, but you’ll still get great performance and probably good battery life.

Pixel Buds Pro arrives with Pixel 6a this summer and will finally give us the ANC Pixel Buds we wanted. They will last up to 31 hours with the charging case included, support wireless charging and also look pretty good.

Google was also kind enough to give us a very early teaser of the Pixel devices we will receive this fall. Pixel 7 and 7 Pro will have a similar design to the Pixel 6 series and no, they will not have a matte finish, as we were originally told (to the horror of many). All we know is that they will work with the next generation Tensor chipset and will have similar camera settings. We probably know even less about the Pixel Watch, which will launch alongside the upcoming flagships. It will work with Wear OS, will have LTE connectivity and will be the first device with Wear OS to include integration with Fitbit. Still, it’s exciting to know that the long-awaited Pixel Watch is finally here.

Finally, Google gave us an extremely early look at the upcoming Pixel Tablet. In terms of design, it’s quite simple and doesn’t sound like a “premium”, but it will obviously compete with the best Android tablets on the market. Unfortunately, we won’t get a release until 2023. However, this speaks to Google’s commitment to improving the Android tablet experience, which is why the Pixel Tablet was Andrew Mairik’s favorite message on Google I / O.
