Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has been expelled from the FA Cup final on suspicion of a groin injury just 32 minutes later.

Salah, Liverpool’s top scorer this season, got off the ball and was immediately surrounded by teammates Thiago Alcantara and Sadio Mane before being treated by a member of Liverpool’s medical team.

Although comforted by his teammates, he seemed understandably upset when he left to be replaced by Diogo Jota.

The Egyptian’s injury will make Liverpool sweat because of his form just two weeks after the Champions League final against Real Madrid in Paris on May 28.

This is not the first time Salah has been eliminated in the start of the Grand Final for Liverpool, and the Egyptian also left the Champions League final in 2018 against Real Madrid in Kyiv before halftime due to a sprained arm in a duel with Sergio Ramos.

In a repeat of this year’s Carabao Cup final, Liverpool faced Chelsea in an English football match. The match was exactly 0-0 during his substitution and thus ended after 90 minutes in a copy of the League Cup final in February.

To make matters worse for Liverpool, Virgil Van Dyke was pulled out 90 minutes before extra time, where he was replaced by Joel Matip. This is the first time Van Dyke has been replaced this season.

It is unclear whether the Dutchman suffered an injury or the decision was a precautionary measure before the decisive two weeks for Liverpool.

As an indication of Liverpool’s grueling season, in which they will play in any match they may play, left-back Andrew Robertson has also been retired after appearing to be suffering from a severe attack of cramps.
