68 min. Here is this great goal by Erin Cuthbert.
67 min. Weir’s long-distance drive is blocked by Bright. City responded well to the lag.
65 mins City almost immediately equalized, but Shaw fired with fresh air at the turn of 10 yards!
Wright put the ball in England right in the zone. She handed it back to Cuthbert, who touched and dug up a rising drive that hit the underside of the beam and bounced into the net! Roebuck jumped to the right and was so close, but she couldn’t get there.
It’s a stunning goal – not only the strength and precision, but also the speed with which Cuthbert took the blow. One quick touch to control and then, with almost the same movement, punch.

WHAT A GOAL! Chelsea 2-1 Manchester City (Cuthbert 63)
Erin Cuthbert gives Chelsea the lead with a scream!
63 mins. Wright’s cross cuts bronze and shines on the face of the door. And then…
61 minutes. In the first half both teams seemed desperate not to score the first goal; they now seem equally haunted by the prospect of admitting a third.
59 mins. Weir sprays an elegant pass from the left to Hamp, who easily beats Bright but crosses too close to Ingle.
57 mins Kerr’s cross is cleared boldly by Bronze, with Cuthbert lined up for a shot from above.
54 min. Bronze is booked for Harder.
51 min: Good rescue from Berger! City made a summer start in the second half, as did the first. Kelly’s cross hit Shaw’s head just outside the ball on a nearby crossbar. City kept the ball alive, with Weir eventually giving Hamp the first shot. Her furious blow through the door was superbly saved by Berger and ricocheted right off the door.

Half time: Chelsea 1-1 Manchester City
Pip pip! It took a while to get started, but the last 15 minutes of the half were great. Sam Kerr put Chelsea ahead with a poacher’s goal; Lauren Hamp leveled with a bit of individual brilliance. More, please!

45 + 2 min. City again appealed unsuccessfully for a penalty, this time after Shaw passed after a challenge to Nouen. I’d like to see that again – it was a clumsy grip from Nouwen, and at first glance I thought she had tripped Shaw.

45 + 1 min. Stanway has several blocked strokes within five seconds. The second led to a handball complaint against Carter, which was rejected. He certainly hit Carter’s right hand, even though it was close to her body.
45 minutes. Three minutes added time. This game has really come to life since Sam Kerr gave Chelsea the lead.

This is a brilliant equalizer. Shaw cleverly spun Nowen halfway, moved forward, and dropped the ball to Hamp’s left. Carter’s challenge repelled Hemp, forcing her to go a little wider. But she pulled out the ball, cut into Bright, and made a superb right-footed shot into the far corner.
That’s one of the reasons Hemp is so deadly – he can now beat a defender on any side. I think she is by far the most exciting player in the WSL.

GOAL! Chelsea 1-1 Man City (Hemp 42)
City has more than Lauren Hamp!
40 minutes. City needs more than Lauren Hamp, who was very quiet. In her defense, I’m not sure how many services she had. The others on the front line, Bunny Shaw and Chloe Kelly, are also struggling to make a big impact.
38 mins. Harder shoots from a distance. This is a nerve spell for City.
36 minutes. It was such a good expectation from Kerr, who got the wrong side of the Bronze to cross with Bright’s head in the net.

34 minutes Another chance for Chelsea! Roebuck was challenged by Kelly as the ball bounced off Reiten 30 yards out. She fired for the first time over the beam. It was a good chance with Roebuck outside her door, even though there was at least one City defender on the line.
A free kick on the left was half cleared, with the ball returned to Bright on the right. She seemed to overcome a thunderous cross that flew over the jumping Roebuck and was directed from the yard by Kerr. At first I thought it went straight in, which is where his description as a strange goal comes from, but the ruthless Kerr definitely got the finishing touches.

Chelsea took the lead with an incredible goal!

30 min. Alana Kennedy is reserved for Pernille Harder’s agricultural projectile.
29 minutes I don’t know what to say. It’s not a bad ending in any way, it’s just a little fun, because both teams a) play a little cautiously and b) defend extremely well.

27 minutes Kelly and Hem exchanged wings.
26 mins Kerr’s long pass to Wright is well intercepted by Kennedy.
24 minutes. Nothing special is happening. There is too much mutual respect and both teams play with the handbrake on.

21 minutes. The game turned into a very tenacious game, and both teams were desperate not to allow the first goal.
18 min: Kerr has a goal rejected for offside. It was a cool ending, as you’d expect, but it was fair offside.

16 min. City are almost caught playing from behind. Cuthbert intercepted Roebuck’s pass 30 yards from the door, but could not control it on the rebound.
14 mins Stanway is a little lucky that he is not reserved for a bad challenge for Harder.
12 minutes Cuthbert returns. By the way, he throws himself at Wembley.
11 minutes Erin Cuthbert fell after a collision with the Stokes. I think she will be fine and breathing can help Chelsea.
9 mins. Kelly’s cross is well-directed by Carter and Hemp is waiting behind her. City was the calmer and more confident country so far.
7 minutes Chelsea began to make their way into the game after this difficult start.
4 min .: Only wide from Weir! City started brilliantly. Stanway skillfully lost two players in the midfield and found Hamp on the left side of the zone. She stepped back inside Carter and received a blow to the right leg, blocked by the stretching Bright. The ball bounced off Weir, whose fierce follow-up attack hit Bright and flew straight to the side. It was a heroic defense of Millie Bright.
3 minutes Weir scored twice in City’s final victory in the Continental Cup over Chelsea in March. It was a pretty good chance, especially since he was on her left leg.
2 minutes: Chance for Weir! City could take the lead in 100 seconds. Hemp rushed to Carter – what a duel it would be – and hit a cross that veered toward Weir in the area. She rushed to the ball, but hit it with her usually precise left foot.
2 minutes Chelsea started, as expected, in a 3-4-1-2 formation. Pernill Harder is Sam Kerr and Beth England.
1 min Peeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Sophie Ingle of Chelsea starts the FA Cup final.
The players are on the field, they meet the various dignitaries. It’s almost time for the 52nd FA Cup final for women.

Team news
Two changes for Chelsea from the title victory over Manchester United last Sunday. Aniek Nouen and Beth England replace Niam Charles and Jonah Anderson, which probably means Guro Wright will play on the wing.
One substitution for City, with Demi Stokes returning as left-back in place of Julie Blackstadt.
There are some serious players on both benches, including Fran Kirby, Ji So-yun, Ellen White and Vicki Losada.
