Two men have been charged in connection with a serious attack on Mabelthorpe. The incident happened on Thursday, May 12, and Lincolnshire police confirmed two days later that Mark Rigg, 37 of Brunswick Drive, Skegnes, and Daniel Bathy, 28, of Cromwell Place, Tatarshall, were charged with intentional injury.
The two were detained in court and a 30-year-old woman was released on bail by police while the investigation continued. Officers were initially called to Centenary Close shortly after 10pm on May 12, where a 50-year-old man was found with multiple head and body injuries.
His injuries were described as serious and he was hospitalized as a result. Detective Sergeant Kara Nicholson of the Skegnes Criminal Investigation Department (CID) said after the couple’s arrest: “We believe this is an isolated incident and we urge members of the public to contact any information that may help in our investigation. .
