David Tennant and Catherine Tate are back in Doctor Who, revealed the BBC.
The news comes after showrunner Russell T. Davis teased a big Instagram post on Sunday (May 15th).
Davis, who watched the BBC return in 2005, returned to the sci-fi series in time for its 60th anniversary in 2023.
He returns Tennant and Tate as the 10th incarnation of the Doctor and his former assistant Donna Noble for scenes that will be broadcast as part of the festivities.
Tenant was last seen as the Lord of Time in the special program for the 50th anniversary of Doctor’s Day, which aired in 2013.
Speaking to the news, Davis said: “They’re back! And it seems impossible – first we announce a new Doctor, and then an old Doctor, along with the beautiful Donna, what the hell is going on?
“It simply came to our notice then. Or a parallel world. Or a dream, or a trick, or a flashback. “

He continued: “The only thing I can confirm is that it will be spectacular when two of our biggest stars come together again for the battle of their lives.”
It was announced last week that Nkuti Gatva will play the new Doctor.
The sex education star will join the show after Jody Whitaker finished her time in the series in an upcoming special set, which will be broadcast later this year.
