JACKSONVILLE, Florida – The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Service and the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a deadly crash Monday afternoon on I-10 west of Lane Avenue.
The accident happened with an overturned garbage truck and there was a fuel leak. This caused delays of I-10 hours.
According to the FHP, the 55-year-old truck driver, a resident of Ponte Vedra beach, died in the crash. Police said the truck hit the guardrail, overturned and hit a pole in the middle.
The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Service has responded to a fatal crash on West Highway 10 on Lane Avenue.
