A 14-year-old boy was found dead in a wooded area in Sidcup after he disappeared from Bexley.
Police were called at 10:51 a.m. Thursday, Dene Avenue, after a man was found unsuitable in a wooded area.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
He has been officially identified as Jamie Daniel, who has been reported missing by Bexley.
Officials want his family’s privacy to be respected in this very difficult time.
His death is currently being treated as unexplained as police investigations continue.
A file will be prepared for the medical examiner.
A Met Police spokesman said: “Police were called at 10:51 a.m. Thursday, May 12, on Dene Avenue, Sidkup, after a man was found unsuitable in a wooded area.
“The officers responded. The man was pronounced dead on the spot.
“The man has been officially identified as 14-year-old Jamie Daniel, who has been reported missing from Bexley.
“We ask that the privacy of his family be respected in this very difficult time.
“The death is currently being treated as unexplained while the investigation continues.
“A file will be prepared for the medical examiner.”
