A major accident on the northern lane of the M11 stopped traffic. The accident, in which several vehicles are believed to have been involved, took place at around 9 am this morning (May 17th).
Traffic was stagnant between junction 6, M25 to junction 7, A414 Canes Lane, Harlow. At 9 o’clock the traffic was temporarily suspended until the incident was clarified.
As a result of the accident, there were long delays on the M11, as traffic was returning in a queue at the M25 intersection. Drivers are advised to avoid the area.

National Highways said on Twitter: “#M11 is blocked north between J6 (# Epping / # M25) and J7 (#Harlow) due to a collision involving multiple vehicles. Delays in building an approach, we will keep you posted.
