Johnny Depp’s lawyer continues to question Amber Heard in civil proceedings

Johnny Depp’s lawyer will continue his cross-examination of his ex-wife Amber Heard on Tuesday, while the actor appears on his fourth day of testimony.

Hurd ended her live testimony Monday with a third day, which focused on the final months of her marriage to Depp. Depp’s lawyer, Camille Vazquez, then pressured Hurd to cross-examine photos taken in the days after the alleged Depp attacks, and whether she had made promised donations to two charities under the $ 7 million divorce deal, Hurd said he did not want to.

Hurd told jurors that she had been physically and sexually abused many times before and during her brief marriage to Depp, which lasted from 2015-16. In her testimony, Depp denied abusing Hurd.

Depp is suing Hurd in Fairfax County Court for $ 50 million in defamation for an article she wrote in The Washington Post describing herself as a “public figure representing domestic violence.” His lawyers say he was slandered by the 2018 article, although he never mentions his name. Hurd is suing for $ 100 million.

The high-profile process, during which Depp has already spent four days at the stand, has attracted considerable public interest. Fans show up every day at the Fairfax Courthouse in Virginia.
