We already knew that Sony was targeting a number of release dates in June 2022 for the new levels of PS Plus Extra and Premium – but so far these dates have not been set in stone. Fortunately, Sony has managed to stick to its schedule, and the reopening of the updated service confirms that the expected dates will remain.
So, to summarize, here’s when PS Plus Extra and Premium launch in different regions:
- Asia – May 24
- Japan – June 2
- North and South America – June 13
- Europe, Australia, New Zealand – June 23
Given that Extra and Premium are coming to Asia in a little over a week, we should soon have a much better idea of what games will be included. Sony shared only a partial list of titles for PS5, PS4, PS3 (via streaming), PS2, PS1 and PSP, but much more was promised. It is quite possible (and very likely) that different regions will have different choices, as this is already the case with the current PS Plus model.
So yes, not much time left. What do you think about the new PS Plus? Give us a plus or minus in the comments section below.
