Johnny Depp’s legal team ended its cross-examination of Amber Heard after two grueling days of interrogation, irritating her about her relationship with James Franco and allegations that she abused her ex-girlfriend.
Depp’s lawyer, Camille Vazquez, ended his cross-examination, citing allegations that Hurd hit her ex-girlfriend Tasha van Ree in 2009. Two police officers allegedly witnessed Hurd hit van Ree in the arm and pull her necklace. and she was arrested, but the charges were quickly dropped.
“Johnny Depp is not the only partner you’ve attacked,” Vazquez said.
“I’ve never attacked a partner,” Hurd insisted. “I’ve never attacked Mr. Depp or anyone I’ve been romantically involved with.”

“I didn’t know his schedule,” she replied.

Hurd said of Franco: “He was a friend of mine and he literally lived next door. I had exhausted my support network and was happy to welcome as much friendship as possible.
Hurd’s lawyer, Elaine Bredehoft, asked Hurd about CCTV footage of the building showing her in the elevator with Franco shortly before 11 p.m. that night.
Hurd said of Franco: “He was a friend of mine and he literally lived next door. I had exhausted my support network and was happy to welcome as much friendship as possible.
The video shows him putting his head on Hurd’s shoulder in a gentle gesture.
Hurd said, “When he saw my face, he put his head on my shoulder. He also touched my face.
Hurd claims that Depp threw a phone at her the night before, leaving a bruise on her cheek.
She told the court that Franco “touched my face and responded to what he saw.”
AMBER RELEASES FROM AQUAMAN
Earlier, the court heard an uncompromising dispute between Depp and Hurd, in which she told him: “Suck my dog!”
Depp replies, “Suck my dog!”
He added: “Suck your dog.”
Hurd tells him she’s sorry she believed “all the lies you sold” and calls Depp “washed out filth” and “sold out.”
Hurd tells Depp that “you’re a joke,” and Depp replies sarcastically, “I’m a joke in the industry, Amber?”
Depp says sharply, “Aquamannnnnn.”
Hurd replies, “21 Whatever. Nobody cares,” referring to 21 Jump Street, the film that was Depp’s big break in his 20s.
Vazquez asked Hurd if it was true that Depp had gotten her partner role in Aquaman.
Hurd said, “Excuse me? No, Miss Vazquez, I got that role by audition.
Vazquez asked, “Were you jealous of this?”
Hurd said, “Johnny was always very jealous when I worked.”
Hurd told the court that she was released from her contract to shoot Aquaman 2 – but managed to stay in the film.
However, she has no idea how long it will be after the film hits theaters.
Asked if she was replaced in the film, which is due out next year, Hurd said that “they released me from my contract”.
She said she had to “fight” to keep her role as Mera, adding that “I don’t know how much I’m in the final version.”
Hurd told the court that she was released from her contract to shoot Aquaman 2 – but managed to stay in the film. However, she has no idea how long it will be after the film hits theaters. A petition garnered more than 4 million signatures to remove her from the film

There was laughter in court when the jury heard a tweet that Hurd sent to former Depp lawyer Adam Waldman in March 2021.
Hurd claims that Waldman’s statements that her allegations are “fraudulent” are defamatory and underlie her $ 100 million counterclaim.
In response to a comment from Waldman that her injuries were fake, Hurd tweeted: “Yes, Mr. Waldman, I can make up for this, but on any occasion you will still be low.”

With a trembling lip, Hurd said, “Because he’s guilty. He knows he’s lying, otherwise why can’t he look at me?

As she did so, she stared at Depp, who kept her head down and talked to her lawyers, refusing to meet her gaze.
The court previously heard an audio clip of Depp from July 2016 – after the divorce – in which he said that she “will never see my eyes again”.
Hurd’s lawyer, Elaine Bredehoft, mocked Depp, raising his voice softly to repeat the remarks, which caused Depp to laugh.
Hurd said Depp actually looked her in the eye after the divorce, and he did so “many times” during their first divorce mediation in July 2016.
He also kissed her and gave her a note that said, “I will love you alive or dead” with his new number.
In a court audio audio, the jury heard Hurd begging Johnny not to leave as he tried to visit his daughter.
Depp begs her, “Why don’t you just say, ‘Okay, honey, I understand, I’m going home, and you’re done and hanging out with your daughter, and then we’ll see each other in a few hours and talk about it.'” Is that so hard to say? Or do you hate me? Please, it’s not that hard. Okay? ‘
“I don’t want to stand here in the alley arguing with you,” Hurd said.
“Neither do I.”
Hurd told Vazquez that he was trying to stop Depp from taking drugs.
