Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, were welcomed when they arrived in Ottawa on Wednesday to embark on a three-day tour of Canada.

Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, will attend a service at Ukraine’s Orthodox Orthodox Cathedral in Ottawa today as they visit the national capital.

After a prayer, the royal couple must meet with an exiled Ukrainian woman and her two sons.

The second day of the royal tour includes stops at the National War Memorial, a local school and a meeting with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

The couple will also visit the ByWard Market to meet with vendors, and Charles will talk to Afghan refugee women and attend a roundtable on sustainable financing.

The last event of Prince Charles and Camilla for the day is the platinum anniversary reception at Rideau Hall.

Metis National Council President Cassidy Karen said he intended to use the occasion to apologize to the Queen for the inheritance of housing schools.

The three-day tour began Tuesday in St. John’s, the Netherlands, with a focus on reconciliation with indigenous peoples.
