Eddie said he sent all the messages to a woman he met online one night after drinking a few drinks, but denied cheating on Denise on any other occasion.
Speaking about their scandal, he told The Sun: “She was furious, shouting obscene words at me, that she didn’t want me in her life anymore and my life would have been ruined without her, then she physically helped out of the house. .
Eddie said he felt ashamed and “deeply sorry” for sending the messages, and said he had contacted his former presenter’s girlfriend many times to apologize.
He admitted that he had broken Denise’s trust and said he hoped their relationship would survive his mistake, but added that he respected her decision.

Eddie said he had been struggling for the past six months and turned to alcohol as a coping mechanism, but said he had begun to feel more positive in recent weeks.
Referring to the photos on his iPad, Eddie said Denise found a photo of a woman’s cleavage, a photo of him posing with an ex-girlfriend whose contact photo is a rough photo, and saw that his screensaver was their selfie.
