Hail and strong winds passed in the area as part of a strong thunderstorm early in the evening
A strong thunderstorm passed through the area tonight and certainly left its mark.
While Sault Ste. Marie was hit mostly by heavy rain, and St. Joseph’s Island saw some of the hail expected by Environment Canada in an earlier warning of a severe thunderstorm.
South of Salt, Gaylord, Michigan, he was hit by a tornado.
The damage in the city is great. No injuries or casualties have been reported yet, according to the Associated Press.
