Dozens of emergency services circled the Runcorn Bridge on Friday night (May 20th) in response to a major incident. Vehicles began arriving at the scene shortly before 11 pm, with Cheshire police closing the bridge in both directions.
Along with Cheshire police, the Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service, the Northwest Ambulance, the Coast Guard and a police helicopter, they were called to the scene.

Waterloo Road, right next to Runcorn Bridge, was cut off by emergency services as they dealt with the incident.
