“It was a difficult day for me. I think there are positive results with the new parts of the car, some things worked well and I think the team is pleased with some of the improvements. I made a mistake in FP2, which unfortunately cost me the rest of the session as there was some damage to the floor. So, not perfect, but I’m still hoping for tomorrow, because the car looks in a decent place. “

“There is a lot to learn today. We tried quite different settings for both sessions. Obviously we are not where we want to be in the schedule, but there is something to dive in tonight. There is still a lot to take at the moment, so I’m not very sure how much to watch in the time today. it was interesting to see the other cars and teams and what they were doing. But we will focus on ourselves, because surely everyone today was researching a few new things about their cars. “

“It was a very busy Friday with a lot of test items to go through here in Spain. We introduced our new aerodynamic package and had to evaluate it, but we also had work to understand the tires in these hot conditions, which are very different from the ones we tested here during the winter tests. Daniel’s sessions were pretty clean and we gathered a lot of information from them. We had a few more problems with Lando’s car. We had to stop his program earlier after we found some damage over the curb – but we can fix it overnight. We have a lot of analysis to do tonight – but we hope we are in good shape for the qualifiers and the competition. “
