There is a risk of a tornado and a warning of a strong thunderstorm for:
- Burlington – Oakville
- Halton Hills – Milton
- Mississauga – Brampton
- Hamilton
At 12:30 a.m., EDT meteorologists from Environment Canada tracked a very dangerous thunderstorm that could cause destructive gusts of wind, hail, and heavy rain.
This line of strong thunderstorms is located from Ellora to Langton, moving east at 80 km / h.

The warning of a severe thunderstorm and the risk of a tornado has ended for:
- Burlington – Oakville
- Mississauga – Brampton
- Hamilton
- Milton
Affected areas include: Hamilton, Toronto, Milton, Burlington, Brampton, Oakville, Mississauga, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham, Erin, Halton Hills, Ancaster, Dundas, Watertown, Caledon, King Toronto City and Toronto City.
This is a dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation. Take cover immediately if threatening time approaches. If visibility is reduced while driving, reduce speed, watch for front taillights and be prepared to stop. Heavy hail can damage property and cause injuries.
Widespread and extremely strong gusts of wind can destroy buildings with tornado-like damage, level large tree plantations and throw vehicles off the road. Remember that strong thunderstorms can cause tornadoes. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when there is thunder, go indoors!
Warnings of severe thunderstorms are issued when imminent or impending thunderstorms are likely to cause or produce one or more of the following: high hail, destructive winds, torrential rains.
The Fire Marshal’s Office and Emergency Management recommends that you take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
