A small single-engine plane landed on Vernon Regional Airport on Sunday afternoon.

A single-engine plane landed on the belly of Vernon Regional Airport.

Paratrooper Rick Vanderhook was at the airport and witnessed the plane enter.

“It looks like they either didn’t put the landing gear down or the landing gear was damaged.

“No one was hurt.”

The photos show traces of sliding on the runway and the end of the propeller of the plane, facing the middle of the runway.

Vanderhook said that because the plane was in the middle of the runway, other planes were currently diverting to Kelowna International Airport.
