Four people have died and tens of thousands have been left without electricity in Ontario after a violent storm swept the province.
Ontario provincial police say a 44-year-old man was killed in Greater Madawasca, west of Ottawa, after he was reportedly hit by a falling tree during a storm Saturday afternoon.
Later in the day, Ottawa police said a man had died at the western end of the city, but gave no further details.

Regional Police Peel said a 70-year-old woman was also killed by a falling tree while walking in Brampton, west of Toronto, while further west, the OPP said one man was killed and two others were injured when a tree fell on a camping trailer near Pinehurst Lake in the Waterloo area.
Trees and power lines were torn down in parts of the province stretching from Sarnia to Ottawa by fierce winds, which at one point reached 132 km / h at Kitchener Airport.
As of early Sunday morning, about 307,000 Hydro One customers were without power, while Hydro Ottawa reported more than 550 outages affecting more than 170,000 customers.
