Jordan Binington will miss the rest of the Blues’ series in the second round against Colorado Avelanche due to a lower body injury.
Blues head coach Craig Berube made the announcement Sunday during his media presence ahead of an optional training session at the Centene Community Ice Center.
Binington left Game 3 against Colorado in the first period after Avalanche striker Nazem Kadri clashed with him with the remaining 13:15 in the first period.
“It’s always hard. Biner has a heart and soul (player), he plays amazing,” Blue captain Ryan O’Reilly told the game. “It took away the momentum … Things like that happen, we’re a good team and we could have done a better job of getting the momentum back.”
Berube said there was a chance Binington would return in the next round.
After six playoff appearances this season, Binington is 4-1 with 1.72 goals against the average and .949 percent save.
