The missing plane was found by civilian planes in Lake Superior Provincial Park

According to OPP police officer Trevor Tremblay, the civilian plane that found the missing plane was actively searching for the crash site along with an OPP helicopter.

“It wasn’t easy to see from above,” Tremblay said. “I don’t know the details of how they found him at this point.”

John Fer and pilot Brian Slingerland, the two passengers on the plane, are believed to be inside the wreckage.

Tremblay describes the area as heavily wooded and slightly swampy nearby at the foot of Lake Superior.

The cause of the accident has not been determined yet, as the investigation is ongoing.

“As you can imagine, this is a terrible tragedy for both families and finding the plane comes with different emotions,” he said. “The members of the Transport Safety Council will investigate the possible causes from now on.

Ontario provincial police have just confirmed that a civilian plane found the missing plane, which has been missing since April 14, since Saturday night.

The plane was found in Lake Superior Provincial Park, about two kilometers east of Old Woman Bay.

Members of the Transport Safety Council will be present and will investigate.

The search for the missing plane lasted 10 days before ending on April 24.
