Courtney Kardashian and Travis Barker called for a “disrespectful” wedding

Courtney Kardashian and Travis Barker have been called upon to “mock” Catholicism with their lavish Italian wedding ceremony.

As she said “I do” on Sunday, the reality star wore a white Dolce & Gabbana mini dress with a dramatic veil adorned with the image of the Virgin Mary – a hint of a tattoo her new husband applied to the top of his head.

As 46-year-old Barker speaks publicly about his ties to the Catholic faith, it is unclear whether 43-year-old Kardashian is a member of the church. However, the founder of Poosh has shared many texts about faith, quotes and biblical passages through his Instagram Stories over the years.

“It’s pretty weird [sic] the wedding is like this catholic “aesthetic” like the Virgin Mary on her dress and her wedding veil ?? ” wrote one person on Twitter.

Second added: “I really feel like Travis and Courtney [sic] the wedding is mocked by the Catholic religion? They do not symbolize religious people at all, they just feel like a mockery. I’m not a Catholic, but I just don’t think so. “

Another fan said they were “happy” for the newlyweds, but said “liturgical attire used during the liturgy is not modern.”

One man even said they were “offended” by Kardashian’s short dress.

“It simply came to our notice then. “The use of Courtney Kardashian’s Blessed Mother in her attire (s) during her wedding weekend was extremely offensive to me as a Catholic… I have a right to feel offended by this,” they wrote on Twitter.

Barker, for his part, told Vice earlier that he was a well-behaved Catholic.

“I tattooed the Virgin Mary to my foreman when I was 18 or 19 years old. And I was an educated Catholic, “he said in an interview in November 2015.

“I definitely pray; I believe in God. I definitely think I was blessed… So I’m not at church every day and I don’t impose people’s religion. But I believe in God and I pray and my children pray. ”

The couple also faced a negative reaction because they probably allowed their wedding to give “free advertising” to the fashion house Dolce & Gabbana.

“I love Courtney and Travis, but Dolce and Gabbana to dress the whole family for the wedding is not that,” one man argued, referring to the fact that the entire Kardashian-Jenner clan is adorned with visions of the Italian brand.

Another added: “Dolce & Gabbana are trying to revive their brand due to problematic body embarrassment and racist comments. So this display is a real bargain for KarJenners and a real media hit for D&G. ”
