The action takes place more than a decade after the events of the first film, Avatar: The Water Path begins to tell the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri and their children), the troubles that follow, the length they take to endure each other in safety, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure. Avatar: The Way of the Water, directed by James Cameron, hits theaters on December 16, 2022.
