Yankees third base Josh Donaldson has been removed for one game and will be fined for using racist language to White Sox star Tim Anderson, according to The Hayman of The Post.
Anderson revealed after Saturday’s game that Donaldson called him “Jackie”, which he said was a reference to Jackie Robinson on racist charges. Donaldson insisted he was just joking and that this was a reference to Anderson calling himself “today’s Jackie Robinson” in a Sports Illustrated article.

The league has officially joined the majority of the baseball world, not buying Donaldson’s apology when he handed over the removal on Monday.
Donaldson will appeal the removal. It was also added to COVID-19 IL earlier in the day.
