Billy Ailish says that living with Tourette is exhausting and she is fed up with people who present him as a joke.

Billy sat down with David Letterman for his Netflix series “My Next Guest Doesn’t Need a Presentation” and opened up to … something she rarely does.

The 20-year-old singer told Dave, “If you shoot me long enough, you’ll see a lot of tics.”

She talks about the difficulty of communicating with people who do it lightly … “It’s really strange, I haven’t talked about it at all. The most common way people react is to laugh because they think I’m trying to be funny They think I’m going [imitates tic] as a funny move. And so they say “Ha” and I’m always incredibly offended by that. “

“Or they’re leaving [looks around] ‘What?’ and then I say “I have Tourette”

Billy went on to explain that she always has tics, whether it’s as subtle as moving her ears back and forth, clicking her jaw, or bending certain muscles. She said: “These are things you will never notice if you just talk to me, but for me they are very exhausting.”

But now she says she’s accepted him … “I’ve befriended him, so I’m pretty sure of him now.”
