Durham, North Carolina – A man died at the scene of an accident caused by a shooting in Durham.
The shooting took place shortly before 5 pm in block 4400 on NC Highway 55. Police said they received calls for passengers in a car on Highway 55 who shot at another car.
Police said the other car crashed into several parked cars in the business parking lot.
“I heard shots … about 10-20 shots. [A] “One came down here, flew and ended up there,” the witness said.
“I didn’t know if he was dead or not. I went to check on him.”
The driver of the car died on the spot in the accident. No other injuries were reported.
Highway 55 was closed in both directions near Meridian Parkway after the accident.
