PRAGUE – The Czech Republic confirmed its first case of monkeypox on Tuesday, said the head of the Czech Society for Infectious Medicine (SIL).
“The case was confirmed by a laboratory today,” SIL chairman Pavel Dluhi told Reuters, confirming a report on the Zpravy news site.
Dlouhi said the patient was being treated at the Central Military Hospital in Prague, but gave no further details.
