Several schools in Ottawa will remain closed for the fourth day in a row as cleanup continues after a powerful storm last weekend.
As long as schools with power are open to education, schools without electricity will remain closed until power is restored.
Parents, guardians and students are urged to check the Ottawa Student Transport Association’s website for details on bus cancellations.
Here’s a look at the school closures on Friday.
CHARLETON DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD BOARD
The Ottawa School Board says 20 schools will remain closed on Friday because the building has no electricity.

- Elizabeth Winwood
- Fielding
- Manordale
- Manotic
- Meadow lands

- Riverview Alternative School
- Rockcliff Park
- Sir Winston Churchill
OTTAVA CATHOLIC SCHOOL SET
The following schools of the Catholic School Board in Ottawa do not have hydromassage facilities and will remain closed on Friday.

- Virgin of Peace
- Sacred heart
- St. Andrew
- St. Daniel
- Saint Gemma
- St. Gregory
- St. Isidore
- St. Leonard
- St. Michael’s (Ottawa)
- Saint Monica
- St. Ria
CONSEIL DES ECOLES PUBLIQUES DE L’EST
The French Public School in Ottawa says the following schools will be closed on Friday because they are still without electricity:
- Charlotte Lemieux
- Marie Curie
- Omer-Deslorie
The three closed schools will not offer virtual training.
All other schools and their day care will be open as usual
