A late sailboat arrives at its destination in Lunenburg, North Carolina, communicating with search teams, confirming that the crew is not in danger.
The sailboat, Strange Situation, was to arrive in Lunenburg, NS, on May 25 from Bermuda.
In a tweet shortly before 9:30 p.m. on Friday, the Halifax Joint Rescue Coordination Center (JRCC Halifax) said the Strange Situation has updated the estimated time of arrival.
JRCC Halifax said it would monitor the Strange Situation’s journey to Nova Scotia until it arrived safely in port.
Strange Situation has three people on board.
