Kyle Lowry listened politely as Jimmy Butler shared the credit for Miami’s victory in Match 6, while his All-Star teammate took the humility too far and called his 47-point elimination avoidance “decent.”

The winner of Game 7 on Sunday will qualify for the NBA Finals against Golden State, which eliminated the Dallas Mavericks in five games on Thursday night. Warriors striker Draymond Green said afterwards that he expects to play with the Celtics.

“He came out of the jump and left some of his mark on the game,” White said. “This is him throughout his career, constantly attacking and doing what he does to help his team win. We knew this was coming and we needed to do a better job in Game 7.”
Jason Tatum scored 30 points and nine rebounds for Boston, and White stepped off the bench and scored 11 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter. The Celtics are struggling to reach the finals for the first time since 2010, two years after Kevin Garnett’s New Big Three, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen won their 17th NBA title in the franchise – a record for the Lakers’ tie.

Jaylan Brown scored 20 points for Boston, missing a pair of free throws with a score of 99 after Lowry was eliminated. Brown fouled in an attack with an attack that was assessed after a challenge in a missed shot with 13 seconds left and the Celtics were eliminated by four.
