The M6 to the south was closed tonight after a major vehicle crash. The highway is expected to be closed in a few hours.
The road to the south is closed between J4a (Coleshill) and J3 for Coventry. The connection from M42 to M6 is also closed.
National Highways West Midlands confirmed that the highway was closed between the intersections. This happens after stopping traffic for about 21 hours.
Road workers were at the scene, along with colleagues from the West Midlands Ambulance and the West Midlands Fire Department. An air ambulance was also reported in the area.
