Funeral notices in Cornwall and tribute to the 68 dead

Heartfelt tributes have been paid to 68 people in Cornwall in recent funeral and death notices. Many touching reports have been published online or in newspapers in Cornwall – including West Briton, Western Morning News, the Cornish Guardian and The Cornishman.

The beautiful tribute was paid between May 18 and 26. Other announcements were made during the same period, with nine remembering relatives on the anniversary and eight families thanking friends and relatives for attending the funeral.

Gloria Aldous died on May 16, 2022 at home in Penzance. The funeral will take place at 10 a.m. on June 8, 2022 at Treloni, Penmount Crematorium, Truro. No flowers. Donations for Mind through Co-op Funeralcare Truro.

Margery Bieber

He died quietly on May 12, 2022 at the St Marys Haven care home in Penzance. Born on January 16, 1931, she has a long and adventurous life. Unfortunately, she will miss her sons Andrew and Alex, her good friend Stephen and many other friends she has made over the years. Now she is in a better place, showing the angels how to take care of their roses. We will all miss seeing her walk along Culdrose with her dogs in her handbag! John Bennett

of Hale, the former mayor of the city, died at home on May 17, 2022 from complications after surgery, aged 73 years. Donna’s beloved husband, the loving father of Ben and Beth, and Alexei’s stepfather, the adored grandfather of Tim and Cole, the dear uncle of Sofia and Gikas, a revered poodle master of Boo and Theo. A friend of many, passionate about Hale’s history and natural environment, he will leave a big hole in this community. A private family funeral will be held on Monday, May 30, followed by a 3 p.m. memorial service at the Passmore Edwards Institute at Hayle TR27 4BU, where everyone is welcome.
