A cyclist was rushed to hospital after being knocked down by a van in a terrible collision and running.
Police have launched an investigation after the incident happened on Old Dalkeith Road in Edinburgh around 11.35 am on Saturday, May 28.
Emergency services arrived on the scene and the 39-year-old woman who was riding the motorcycle was taken to the Royal Hospital in Edinburgh with serious injuries.
The vehicle, which is believed to be a small white van or similar, did not stop at the scene and officers asked for information.

Edinburgh Traffic Police Officer Gary Barkham said: “We ask anyone who was in the area at the time of the accident, or anyone who has information about the vehicle involved, to contact us.
“Any information can be useful for our investigation.
“Please call the police on 101, quoting incident 1468 on May 28.
“Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.”
