Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Steet issued a statement Sunday afternoon after a massacre in Taft that night, killing one and wounding seven.
The shooting took place during a celebration of Remembrance Day in the Old Town Square.
Witnesses said they heard at least 40 shots.
OSBI said it was still investigating the shooting and no one had been arrested.
The planned parade and the rest of the festival have been canceled, according to former mayor Leila Foley-Davis.
