Seven people were injured after two rival gangs of motorcyclists got into a shootout on a Nevada highway, police said.
Members of Hells Angels and Vagos began shooting at each other shortly before noon on Sunday on The US-95 on College Drive in Henderson, just 27 miles from downtown Las Vegas, Henderson Police Department said Monday.
When officers arrived, they found several wounded. Six have been taken to local hospitals, two are in critical condition. A seventh person was registered in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police have indicted three people involved in the shooting.
Cops arrested 66-year-old Richard Devries, 46-year-old Stephen Alo and 26-year-old Russell Smith.
Each was charged with six counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon; 6 batteries using deadly weapons causing significant bodily harm; 6 points for firing a pistol in / in a occupied structure / vehicle; and a charge of conspiracy to commit murder with a deadly weapon.
It is not clear with which cycling gang the accused are connected.
The shooting caused a nightmare in the Las Vegas subway area as investigators closed US-95 from Boulder Highway to Horizon Drive and Horizon Drive from Pacific Avenue in both directions for several hours.
No details have been released so far about what may have led to the shooting.
