The temperatures for the anniversary weekend will start to be quite cool in the northern regions, while they are closer to the average for the time of the year in the south, and will probably reach around 20-22C on Thursday, but in the south there will be temperatures of 23-25C , probably 26C on Friday. For the rest of the weekend, the warmest temperatures can be found in the north-west of Scotland, with cooler conditions further south.

However, a low-pressure system will introduce some rain or heavy rain in the north-west for some time, which is likely to affect Northern Ireland and possibly West Scotland. The main source of uncertainty is how far north this stream of warm air will spread, leading to an increased risk of some rainstorms over the weekend.
Deputy Chief Meteorologist Dan Rudman said: “Some may see a restless start to the long weekend, with rain for Northern Ireland, Wales and the West of England, but it will be much calmer for many, with very dry weather and good sun spells. Temperatures could reach 26C in the south on Friday, although it will probably be the warmest day, and later in the weekend the highest temperatures will probably be in the northwest.
“Stop the warm air that is currently flowing across the continent, then being pushed north over the UK over the weekend. However, there is uncertainty as to how far north it will extend, with the latest forecasts suggest that from Saturday it will bring precipitation to the southern regions, which could become heavy and possibly thunderstorms at times. Although even here there will be some cloudbursts, and the northern regions are likely to remain well and dry.
“Northern Ireland, Scotland and Northern England look as if they will see the driest conditions from Saturday onwards, most likely enjoying some long periods of sunshine.
As a busy jubilee weekend is expected on the roads, RAC traffic spokesman Rod Dennis said: “The fact that public holidays coincide with the end of the semester in many places has the potential to put extra pressure on the road network, so planning a careful trip is important. to overcome the worst of all queues.
