Kenneth Baird has been appointed interim CEO of Eastern Health

Eastern Health has a new interim CEO.

Kenneth Baird has been appointed for a one-year term. Baird currently serves as Vice President of Quality, Process Improvement and Clinical Support at Eastern Health.

Baird replaces former chief executive David Diamond, who has been appointed chief executive of the planning team involved in merging the province’s four health authorities into one.

The individual health authorities will continue to operate as usual during the transition period.

Eastern Health has about 13,000 employees and more than 700 medical staff serving more than 300,000 people.
