Three suspects wearing dark clothes, face masks and surgical gloves were thwarted when they tried to rob a financial institution in a community near Woodstock, the Oxford OPP said.

Three suspects wearing dark clothes, face masks and surgical gloves were thwarted when they tried to rob a financial institution in a community near Woodstock, the Oxford OPP said.

The trio tried to enter the Oxford Street business in Drumbo, about 15 kilometers northeast of Woodstock, at about 4:40 p.m. on Monday, police said on Tuesday. The police did not identify the financial institution.

Images posted by police show what appear to be three young men wearing hoods in the business lobby.

After failing to enter, the suspects left in a black SUV Audi Q5, which was last seen traveling east on Oxford Road 8, police said.
