Sonic Frontiers receives the game’s first teaser trailer

Almost exactly a year after the initial tease of Sonic Frontiers, Sega is back with a brand new trailer offering our first brief look at the gameplay for the latest hedgehog adventure.

Sonic Frontiers was first annoyed at the end of last May (with only the most obscure CGI trailers and no name), but it wasn’t until December that the first accurate details emerged, with Sega describing the title as “Sonic’s first open zone” game.

“Accelerate to new heights and experience the thrill of freedom in an open area at high speed,” the publisher said at the time. “Fight powerful enemies as you race through the Starfall Islands – landscapes filled with dense forests, overflowing waterfalls, chirping deserts and much more!”

Since then, everything has been very quiet about the new details of Sonic Frontiers, but now Sega is back with a little teasing of the gameplay, in which Sonic can be seen climbing around the green, participating in battle and sliding on the rails in some trademark. search for rings.

Aside from the surprise of what may initially seem like a rather muted style of art, there’s not a huge amount to take away from the footage, but Sega notes that this new joke is part of a month-long coverage of IGN that will reveal more.

There is no release date for Sonic Frontiers yet, but it is expected to arrive on Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, PS4, PS5, Switch and PC later this year.
