What Warriors need to do to win
If Golden State plays Warriors Basketball) (the ball flies around like a hot potato, everyone eats), they can win this series quite easily. They also have the luxury of potential supernova Steph Curry or Clay Thompson every night, which is helpful. But if they play their own brand of basketball, they don’t necessarily need one. CDL
If the Golden State has proven one thing over the years, it’s that when they’re healthy and playing their style of basketball, it’s hard enough to beat them in one game, let alone four. With three different players returning from injury for the finals, there is at least an answer to the healthy question. TF
Be healthy and keep their big three (Curry, Thompson, Draymond Green) out of Covid-19 protocols? Honestly, if the well-rested Warriors play their style of basketball, take advantage of Boston’s mental weaknesses (see below) and prevent Jason Tatum from having a final performance in centuries, the Warriors must win their fourth title of the century. The Warriors will win if they rely on their experience in the playoffs and beat the young Celtics. Curry, Green and Thompson have played together in 82 NBA Finals games. By comparison, the entire Boston team will debut in the final. In addition, Warriors are equipped with a high-octane crime that can ignite at any time. Curry and Thompson will lead, but they are close to invincible if Jordan Poole and Andrew Wiggins can also be explosive offensive. ARS
What the Celtics need to do to win
The Celtics got here thanks in large part to their defensive skills. They are defense № 1 in the league from the beginning of 2022. They will have to play the toughest version of this defense to bring down an offensive jaggernaut like Warriors. CDL
Be healthy. Several key players – most notably Marcus Smart and Robert Williams III – have been so out of the squad that you’d think they were tossing a coin to decide if they would play one night. If this trend continues, Boston is in danger. TF
When the Celtics shoot at all the cylinders, they are unstoppable. Unfortunately for them, they always seem to get in the way. Boston cannot afford to hinder its work by making unnecessary turnovers, assembling inexplicably bad neighborhoods, and / or allowing employees to get into their heads. More experienced Warriors will make them pay if they do. HF
The Celtics will win if they remain persistent in defense. As they faced the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference finals, the Celtics retained Heath in several quarters with poor results, including the first quarter with 11 points in Game 4. Smart money is for Steph Curry, of course, but let’s not forget that fellow Splash Brother Clay Thompson is capable of taking over by putting together a series of long-range shots that could make even Boston’s celebrated defense struggle to find answers, especially if their game plans focus on Steph to start the series. Jason Tatum. During the Eastern Conference finals, Tatum managed to consistently launch his attack against the Heat’s stingy defense, which suffocated Trey Young and James Harden in earlier rounds. Tatum will not face as much pressure in defense as adequate but not great defenders Thompson and Wiggins. Tatum will average nearly 30 points per game to win MVP awards. ARS
Unpredictable player to watch
In many ways, this series depends on the effectiveness of the Celtics’ defense and, on a transitional basis, on Time Lord Robert Williams III. Gary Peyton II has been out for a few weeks, breaking his elbow against Memphis and some people may have forgotten how influential he can be for the Warriors. This elbow injury can affect his ability to shoot when he returns, but he is such an excellent defender that it may not matter much. TF
Andrew Wiggins may have had the strangest career ever of any of the finalists, ranging from the best pick in the 2014 NBA Draft to Rookie of the Year to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Luckily for him, he rediscovered his shot with the Warriors and kept some of his best post-season basketball. It’s hard not to support him, even if you hate Warriors. HF
Al Horford. The 15-year-old veteran will finally get rid of the dubious award that he played in most post-season games without reaching the NBA Finals. During the playoffs, Horford found ways to make game-changing defensive games and timely threes. He may be the biggest X factor in the series. ARS

A bold prediction
Again, Stephen Curry should finally get his long-term MVP in this year’s finals, which would mean the Warriors won the chip. But if the Celtics are disappointed here, I call it now: Al Horford will get his moment in the sun and win the final MVP against all odds, in the style of Andre Iguodala. CDL
The comment teams will campaign for Mark Jackson to get the job. Jackson laid the foundations of the Warriors dynasty, but to this day has not received another coaching job. Expect at least one of his fellow commentators to hit the table, begging a team – every team – to hire that person. TF

The Celtics needed an all-time game from the 35-year-old big man Al Horford to win Game 4 of his epic series against the Milwaukee Bucks, where he scored 30 points in an 11-on-14 shootout. a more perfect man with glue than someone who compiles screaming statistics, but if Boston needs him again, look for a repeat. Nia Long and Deus Tatum will find ways to go viral. Long, the fiancée of Celtics head coach Ime Udoka, and Dews, the son of Jason Tatum, caught the spotlight off the court with viral moments during the playoffs. We can expect Long, a accomplished actress, to celebrate the victories with a merry dance, and four-year-old Dews to support his father’s teammates, both of whom are driving social media crazy. ARS
How would this Warriors team cope against LeBron’s Cavs in the 2015-18 finals?
This team is actually much deeper, in many ways, than the Golden State teams before Kevin Durant in previous years. But as LeBron’s acclaimed wall, I can’t help but be optimistic that he could have won a team without Durant, including 34-year-old Stephen Curry and an unpredictable version of Clay Thompson returning from two serious leg injuries. CDL
Quite good. One of the few advantages the Cavs had over the 2015-18 Warriors was their excellent athleticism. Although Steph, Clay and Draymond may be older, the rest of the Warriors list is much more athletic than their predecessors. TF
As funny as the Warriors’ story was, if you want to take them back to 2015-18, the Cavaliers are winning at least one more title. Steph Curry, Clay Thompson and Draymond Green are still older and Kevin Durant (who was MVP of the finals in both 2017 and 2018) would not return. These warriors do not have a death force at all, but rather a medical staff from a coma. HF
Warriors 2021-22 are good, but Warriors from 2015-18 were great. It was a team that could compete with any of the best teams in NBA history, including the Chicago Bulls in 1997 or the LA Lakers in 2001. However, this year’s Warriors is likely to win two games against Cavs, starring LeBron James and Kyrie Irving. ARS

Warriors 4-2 Celtics. There are many nuances in predicting who will lift the Larry O’Brien trophy. But let’s be simple: we’ve spent too many years in basketball to bet on the healthy Stephen Curry, who is still the greatest scorer the NBA has ever seen. CDL
