Microsoft has released the successor to its original Surface Laptop Go – Surface Laptop Go 2 – for $ 599 (Rs 46,491). Surface Go 2 offers more storage space with its base model than the original Surface Go, launched in 2020. It is also $ 50 (approximately 3880 Rs) more expensive than its predecessor. Surface Laptop Go 2 has a 12.4-inch PixelSense display with an aspect ratio of 3: 2 and a resolution of 1536×1024 pixels. The display can reach a maximum brightness of 330 nits. The laptop has a fingerprint sensor built into the power button, but it is not available in the base configuration. In addition, the laptop is equipped with OmniSonic speakers with Dolby Atmos support. In the front there is a 720P camera for video calls and dual studio microphones with a remote field. Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 is powered by an 11th generation Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor. Compared to the base model of the Surface Laptop Go, which comes with 64 GB of internal memory, the Surface Go 2 comes with a minimum of 128 GB SSD, and there is another model that offers 256 GB SSD storage, and they are removable. In addition, the laptop offers two RAM options – 4GB and 8GB LPDDR4X RAM. The laptop is available in three configurations – 4GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. There are four colors to choose from – platinum, sage, ice blue and sandstone. The base model costs $ 599, while the 8GB + 128GB configuration costs 699, and the high-end storage configuration costs $ 799. The second generation Surface Go laptop has a 41WHr battery that lasts up to 13.5 hours on a single charge. The laptop comes with a 39W power adapter. It supports Bluetooth 5.1 and WiFi 6. Connection options include USB-C port, USB-A port, 3.5 mm headphone jack and Surface Connect port. Microsoft says Surface Laptop Go 2 components are user-replaceable. This allows users to easily replace defective components, including the display, trackpad or keyboard, without any professionalism. The Surface Laptop Go 2 is available for pre-order in the United States and is expected to go on sale on June 7.
