Surrey RCMP is seeking public assistance while searching for a woman suspected of stabbing another woman at the Guildford location of the Real Canadian Superstore in block 14600 on 104 Avenue.
Police were called to the scene around 12:55 a.m. Thursday, where officers found the female victim with stab wounds. She was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police released a photo of the suspect, who is described as a 30-year-old woman with long dark hair. She is said to have been wearing a navy blue V-neck shirt, black pants, white shoes and a blue bag.
Investigators do not believe that the suspect and the victim knew each other and did not establish the motive for the attack.

“There were store employees on site who provided first aid to the victim,” said a spokesman for Surrey RCMP Cpl. Vanessa Mann.
“We acknowledge that there are public safety concerns, given that these countries are not considered to be familiar with each other or that there has been a conflict that started this incident.
Investigators say they are actively talking to witnesses and have provided video surveillance footage of the incident.
