IPhone 14 leaks: iPhone 14 models have faster and more energy efficient 6GB RAM, leaks reveal improved devices

Just days before Apple’s WWDC and more reports are emerging around the upcoming iPhone 14 range. According to recent reports, the Cupertino-based technology giant plans to include 6GB of RAM on all iPhone 14 models. The development was reported by Taiwanese research firm TrendForce.

Next-generation iPhone 14 Pro models are likely to come with upgraded, faster, and more energy-efficient RAM, known as LPDDR5, while regular iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max models will feature LPDDR4X.

Currently, the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini come with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM, while the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max are equipped with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM.

The latest development is in line with the forecast of the famous Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who claims that all iPhone 14 models will come with 6 GB of RAM and that the iPhone 14 Pro models will have LPDDR5.

According to the research firm, iPhone 14 Pro models will probably start with 256 GB of memory. The current generation iPhone starts with 128GB of memory. However, the report states that storage details are “necessary”.

Among other leaks, it was previously revealed that the iPhone 14 Pro models will probably be available with a 48MP rear camera and the latest A16 chip. Meanwhile, regular iPhone 14 models are likely to retain the existing A15 chip.

Another significant change would be for Apple to remove the mini models. Apple is likely to introduce the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro with 6.1-inch displays and the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max with 6.7-inch displays.

The iPhone 14 range is expected to be released around September this year.
