Liverpool are negotiating with Serge Gnabri

Liverpool have reportedly held talks with Bayern Munich striker Serge Gnabri for Anfield’s summer transfer.

According to Anfield Central, Liverpool have contacted German international Serge Gnabri, valued at 80 million euros by Bayern Munich, regarding the summer transfer to Merseyside.

The 26-year-old is mostly a right-hander, but he can play anywhere on the front line. One of Bayern’s most notable players last season, Gnabri has amassed 17 goals and ten assists in 45 games in all competitions. Only Robert Lewandowski overtook him at Bayern Munich during the campaign.

The contract of the German national at the Allianz Arena expires in the summer of 2023, which means that he could potentially retire as a free agent in a year. The Bundesliga champions will do well to sell it this summer if they have no intention of making a new deal.

The difficult situation of Gnabry understandably attracted the attention of some of the best European clubs. In addition to Liverpool, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus have thrown their names in the hat. The Reds are ready for summer recovery and can give themselves a chance by securing the 26-year-old footballer.

Talks have already taken place between the player and the Reds. Gnabri is looking for £ 250,000 a week, making him one of the club’s best earners. Liverpool are ready to scatter the money, but will only reach £ 200,000 a week. Whether this is a negotiable figure is debatable.

The player also strives to be appreciated, something that should not be a problem for Merseyside. Liverpool love theirs, but they are also not afraid to stand up when it matters.

Both Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah were the cornerstones of Liverpool’s success with Jurgen Klopp. Although their role in the club’s success cannot be underestimated, the club will not disrupt their salary structure to meet their requirements. It is difficult to see them taking a different position on Gnabri.

Moving to Liverpool will be a win-win situation for both sides. Liverpool are getting another young, exciting winger to help them recover, while Gnabry can play on a big squad led by perhaps the best manager in the world. But then, as we have seen recently, the 26-year-old will have to serve the system, not the other way around.

As Bayern Munich are leading in the race for Manet, it will be interesting to see how both transfers could be linked. To spice things up, both Gnabry and Mane are also represented by the same agency.

While Gnabri is valued at 80 million euros, Bayern believe they can receive about 40 million euros for their star husband, a fee that is also mentioned for Manet. It remains to be seen whether direct replacement is an option that will be discussed.
