The royal family gathered on the balcony of Buckingham Palace yesterday for Trooping the Color and essentially spent their time looking elegant and wearing massive hats while millions of people watched and analyzed their body language. It wasn’t exactly a time to talk (rather a time to awk around and Prince Louis screaming in the void), but The Sun spoke to lip-reading expert John Cassidy, who revealed exactly what everyone said.

Honestly, don’t worry too much, because the conversation was quite restrained, but still – it’s fun to know what the members of the royal government say to each other when they think that no one is listening! Let’s see, apparently the Living Legend, known as Prince Louis, said “wow, these are the Red Arrows!” while the queen pondered “This is our air force … the Apaches,” also noting their “smart” formation. Meanwhile, Kate pointed to colored smoke to her children, saying “Look at the smoke!”

I have certainly had more interesting conversations with my morning cup of coffee, but I am also sure that members of the royal family are well aware that readers of the lips are on call to decipher everything they say in public.
Anyway, the royal family will continue to relax over the weekend, and perhaps the most exciting is a private event that everyone attends on Saturday: Lilibet’s birthday party! The Sussex family is organizing a party for their daughter at their home in the United Kingdom, Frogmore Cottage, and many members of the royal family, including the Queen, are expected to attend.
