An unsuspecting sunny man was bitten while a wild boar roamed a beach on the Costa del Sol.
The disoriented animal ran out of the sea and rushed to the 67-year-old woman before rescuers quickly sounded the alarm.
Emergency services were called to El Albir Beach around 11 a.m. this morning as rescuers chased the animal away from the beachgoers.
The woman later sought treatment for a “mild” leg injury at a local health center and was prescribed a course of antibiotics to prevent infection.
The boar was spotted in the water by boat crews who warned beach lifeguards who had made an unsuccessful attempt to catch it.
He is believed to have made his way from the nearby Serra Gelada Natural Park, which stretches through Benidorm, Alphaz del Pi and Altea. The whereabouts of the animal remain unknown.

The attack comes days after the nearby holiday resort of Denia prepared to use archers to protect tourists from wildlife roaming the night.
Officials were considering using strategically placed traps in cages equipped with cameras to allow authorities to track the number of wild boars making their way through the city – but the process was not fruitful.
Since then, councilors have confirmed that they are in contact with the shooters – as it would not be legal to use weapons.
They hope the shooters will be able to prevent wild boars from eating crops, causing accidents and trampling golf courses.
