Two men are assisting the police in the investigation
A man received “significant” injuries after a crash in Glen Vine in the early hours of this morning.
Police say the collision affected a car and a pedestrian on Peel Road – right next to the Glen Lough campsite.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 1.50 am – officers believe the man has been returning home alone since going out at night.
A police spokesman said: “The investigation is ongoing and the full circumstances surrounding the incident have not yet been confirmed.
“The collision happened when the street lamps were not lit, in hours of darkness, where there is no sidewalk.
The road was closed for several hours until the incident was settled.
Two men are assisting the police in their investigation.
